Shaun Murphy and Ronnie O’Sullivan will meet in the first semifinal of the Champion of Champions tournament. Murphy qualified after defeating Jimmy Robertson and Ding Junhui, while Ronnie had a harder run, passing by Stuart Bingham and vice-champion John Higgins. Ronnie is the favorite in the first semifinal, even though Shaun Murphy is the last year’s champion. Kyren Wilson is already qualified in the second semifinal and is expecting his opponent, most likely Barry Hawkins. Mark Selby managed to make a maximum breaj (third in his career) against Neil Robertson, but failed to win the game. Kyren Wilson has a good chance to get to the final, after he has gone through easily with victories over Mark Williams (World Champion) and Judd Trump.

The Champion of Champions tournament is played in Coventry and has £370,000 in prize money, of which £100,000 is the winner’s share. The tournament is non-ranking, players will not accumulate points in the ranking.
